The Surface
Name: Fai D Fluorite (Real name is Yuui) Gender: Female Age: 22 Looks:Blue eyes, blond hair (worn kind of short since "long hair is such a bother"), pale, very skinny, long legs, small chest, all around good looking. Clothing: Usually? Black leggings, a simple short white dress with high slits, black knee high boots, long black gloves, light blue coat with silver designs running along the hem which hits at her knees, and over it all Fai wears a fluffy white coat with a hood (That's right. From canon.)
Her Past
Yuui and her twin Fai were born on the same day their father was killed. It was never made clear who did it, but the general consensus was that he was murdered by travelers. On their third birthday, Yuui and Fai both showed signs of having magic and their mother was found dead in her room. Her death was less of a mystery, the grief of her husband’s death had never left her and it finally took the form of a suicide. The twins were taken in and treated them warily by an aunt and uncle. Rumors began of the twins being the cause of their parents’ demises. By their seventh birthday it was clear to everyone that the twins were well on their way to having the most powerful magic anyone who knew of them had ever heard of. Fearing what would happen, their guardians decided it was too dangerous for the twins to remain together. Yuui seemed to have the greater power of the two so she was chosen to be the one removed. However, Fay was mistakenly the one taken away while Yuui watched in horror, unable to find her voice to correct the adults’ mistake. Left with the belief that she alone caused her parents’ death and her twin’s apparent demise, Yuui took on Fai’s name and life, her own was too shameful to live any more. Fai lived with her aunt and uncle without really speaking to them, keeping quietly to her room where she read. A year after becoming Fai, she was sent to live with one of the few magic users in the area. It was with him that Fai found kindness and acceptance for the first time since she was with her twin. The man, who became her adoptive father, taught her how to use her magic and also how to fight. Fai excelled at every thing but healing but was reluctant to use her skills outside of her new father’s house unless there was truly a need for it. Fai saw her magic as a useful tool yet also the thing that brought misfortune to so many close to her. Fai lived in her new home with more happiness then she deserved in her mind. However, strange deaths among the people around them where happening more and more and her father started showing signs of paranoia of outsiders being in the village. Fai began patrolling at night, thinking it more likely to be some wild animals doing the killings. What was truly happening was her father’s paranoia slowly overwhelmed him and him killing everyone he came across. Fai finally discovered it was him and tried keeping him locked away while she frantically searched for a way to cure him. After a week of being locked away, her father escaped and succeeded in killing everyone left in the village. Fai caught up with him standing in the middle of the dead, covered in blood. In a brief moment of lucidness, her father asked her to kill him before he went out to the neighboring villages and started killing there too. That was too much for Fai. She moved him back to the house and put him into a magical coma. It wouldn’t last forever but it could give her time to find a way to save him and not lose yet another person. After sealing the house so no one could enter but her, Fai left the house to seek out a cure for her father. She heads for the large library of Naiad first, which is where things shall begin.
Her Things
- A little money - A wooden staff - Her silver locket worn at all times with a picture of her and her sister and mother in it (And no, you may not see it) - A black pen with no ink in it apparently - A blank journal with a worn leather cover. The journal is not blank of course; the writing is hidden and can only be read with the correct spell. It’s not her diary really, she mostly uses it to scribble down spells or notes on possible ways to help her father. It is also a way to talk over the dimensions.
